- PRP and Stem Cell Treatment
This is especially helpful in cases of damaged endometrium and poor ovarian reserve. One is called ‘PRP’ or platelet-rich plasma. This is obtained from the patient’s own blood. The blood is pooled and filtered for growth factors which are then isolated and used for treatment. There are two basic sources of obtaining stem cells. They can be obtained either from peripheral blood or the patient’s bone marrow (bone marrow stem cells). Both the above sources are autologous i.e. the patient’s own. So, there is no risk of contamination or infection, or adverse reactions or rejection.
